Suggest Treatment For Weakness In Left Leg

I went to stand and discovered that i had absolutely no strength in my left leg....complete jelly....apart from feeling heavy, there was no loss of sensation, no numbness and not pins or needles....i was able to lift the leg fine ... i simply could not put any weight on it without it giving way totally....it lasted for about 15 minutes and then gradually returned to normal...i am otherwise a fit and healthy 47 year old woman

Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement 's  Response
This is called neuropraxia, It is a condition in which there is compression of the nerve and it causes weakness for time being but there is no permanent problem. So after some time you are as good as normal person.
I would advise you to avoid sitting in position when your knee is touching any hard surface as this is the cause of such weakness. I would also recommend you to take pregabalin and Methylcobal tablet for one month which improves muscle strength. I hope there will not be any such episode in future.
