Suggest Treatment For Wound Near Rectum Of A Baby

My 4 month old son just got an abscess near his rectum. The Dr. squeezed the puss out and checking for MRSA. I m scared to death because I work in a hospital, and I have to sit in rooms with iso patients(mrsa in urine also). I don t want him to end up hospitalized, so what should I do with the wound near his rectum?

Hi... I suggest but you keep the area clean with antiseptic wipes and keep doing daily dressings in the area. If he turns out to be positive for MRSA, then he might require oral clindamycin. If negative then you need not worry about MRSA infection as the pus has already been evacuated out.
