Hi,

First of all, have you already had an X-ray or MRI? That would be helpful to better understand what’s happening inside the joint. In cases like yours, I prescribe my patients Voltaren tablets together with Glucosamin HCL.

You should wear an orthosis which works like a cast. You can buy this online, they are not too expensive. Take one that immobilizes your entire arm from below the elbow way down to your fingers. Make sure that it also immobilizes your thumb completely. Take it off only for a bath/shower, wear it 24/7 for 8 weeks and at least 16 hours for another 12 weeks. After the first 4 weeks you can take it of for 2 x 10 minutes a day massage and some careful activation training. Then put on the orthosis again. Hope you get better soon!

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
