Suggest Treatment To Soothe The Pain And Inflammation Of Gums

I have recently used Dr. Tichenor's mouth wash so sooth an abscess I have coming on. I tried to mix the mouth was with the require amount of water before I applied it to a cotton ball, but I guess I didn't get the mixer correct. Now I seem to have a 3rd degree burn on my gums and cheek from the mouth wash. What can I do to sooth the pain and speed up the healing?

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain it seems that you have chemical injury to the gums and Oral mucosa from the mouthwash as it seems that you have used a concentrated solution of the chemical leading to inflammation and burning of mucosa.
In case if the burning is severe as you said it is 3rd degree burns, consult an Oral Physician or an Oral Surgeon and get evaluated and he can advise you to gargle with numbing mouthwash containing Lignocaine..
Take anti-inflammatory painkillers like Ibuprofen..
You can apply Steroid Oral paste over the burnt areas to relieve inflammation and burning..
You can gargle with cold water and suck ice..
You should take a soft diet and avoid spicy food..
Take Multivitamin supplements daily..
Use a non alcoholic antiseptic mouthwash to gargle..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
