Suggest Ways To Conceive When Menstruation Cycle Is 65 Days Apart
We ve only been trying for a few months to conceive but my periods are 65 days apart. I don t think my NP will want to look into things yet because I m only 26 but I m worried things won t happen because I only get 6 chances in a year to get pregnant. We really want to get pregnant within the next couple of months. I ve never heard of anyone with so many weeks between periods. Why am I not ovulating more frequently and should I seek help from a specialist?
Hi, It is possible to conceive naturally even with cycles 3-4 months apart if ovulation occurs and regular intercourse is practiced. Please do not worry, you are young and have plenty of time. Establish natural ovulation through clinical evaluation, hormone assays and follicular studies. If you have been trying for 1-2 years for pregnancy, get further investigations like blood counts, urinalysis, tubal patency tests and analysis of the male factor. If everything is fine, you may use fertile period timing. Ovulation occurs two weeks prior to the onset of the next period and intercourse should be timed around this period to achieve result. Hope this helps.
