General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Many persons losing weight by diet and exercise changes can lose approximately 10 to 15% of their weight maximally by this way alone.

The use of medications or surgery may help with further loss.

In terms of exercise at least 150 to 200 minutes a week is recommended, both aerobic and strength training exercises would help.

You should choose a definitive diet plan and stick to it, since you are diabetic, the low carb diet may suit you because it would help control your blood sugars though you would need to discuss this with your doctor ( in case medication needs altering)

I hope this helps
