Suggest Ways To Manage Pain Post Forearm Injury

I have an extremely painful left forearm injury that isn t broken but the swelling in the arm has moved to my hand. I cannot open my hand/extend my fingers. I have severe numbness and tingling in my forearm and hand. The pain is a 9 out of 10. I ve been to the er 4 times and ortho once. Ortho won t do anything until my MRI results come in next week. I haven t slept in 3 days from the pain. I am in a splint and sling and constantly icing it. I cannot take NSAIDS because I m polycystic kidney and liver. I cannot take Ultram because it causes dizziness and vomiting. I need help quickly.

Hello,

If not broken, we should take magnesium for easing the spasms. Plus massage therapy can help alot until you get MRI report.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
