Suggest Ways To Treat Choking Like Feel In Throat

: How do you deal with the stuck in the throat feeling? I have something stuck in the back of my throat. I sometimes feel like my chest is hurting too. - I m just wondering, does it get any worse? . I also notice I burp a lot, so the good thing is I m not gassy and holding it in, so the medicine works great for this, I just don t like the chest pain or the throat uncomfortableness. I even get hoarse out of nowhere on some days. Any tips?

ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hi,
Your symptoms are suggestive of gastroesophageal reflux disease, here you will have heart burn (chest discomfort), burping, throat irritation, change of voice. You have to do some lifestyle modifications like avoiding large meal at night, dinner should be taken 2hrs before going to bed, stop smoking and alcohol mif you do, raise head end of the bed, and for medical management and confirmation of disease consult an ent specialist or gastroenterologist. Take care, you will be fine.
