Swallowed Hot Eggs, Pain In Mid Sternum. Will It Heal By Itself ?

Hello

I was in a rush a swallowed eggs right out of the microwave. It didn't appear to be all that hot in my mouth. All though as it made its way down my esophagus it was extremely hot. That was 5/6 days ago. The pain is present, preticularly mid sternum. As I eat I can feel the food passing down to my stomach. The pain is manageable and rated at a 3/10. Will it heal and what is the best way to assist the healing process? Thanks for your time, I appreciate it.

Gastroenterologist 's  Response
Hello! Thanks for putting query in HCM. I will advise to visit a Gastroenterologist who may advise you an endoscopic examination to see any ulceration. Also for relief of symptoms take proton pump inhibitor along with a prokinetic agent, syrup containing sucralfate and oxecitacone. This will relieve your symptoms.
