Swelling At The Place Where Meningioma Tumor Was Removed. Affected Right Eye. MRI, MRV Scheduled
I had a Meningioma tumor removed January 2013, then I had to have corrective surgery as a pieace of mesh came loose so they needed to remove on August 15th 2013 I have swelling on the right side were the tumor was removed I have yet to return to work as it did effect the right eye , My dr said if I wanted to try and work I could for 4 hours a day but just remember I have an MRI, and MRV February 2014 scheduled to see what to do with the other 4 , as of yet I don't qualify for disability , do I go back to work and risk the more swelling
Meningiomas are tumour s wit h good prognosis most of the time.it would be better if you had mentioned the histopathology of the tumour n the site. U were put on the mesh after the tumour excision which indicates that the tumour would have involved the surrounding bone .u need not worry for this until it is grade3 tumour when you require radio therapy. Pls gey mri n mrv as per doctors advice. This is to know for any tumour recurrence. If u have increased difficulty von seeing the objects iy is better u take an urgent cat scan brain to check for any residual or recurring tumour. If u t comfortable with the work u can attend to it as usual n no need to abstain from work.
