Swelling In Face. Taken Mobic For Soreness In Upper Arm, Taking Antihistamine For Swelling. Suggestions?
hi i took a mobic tablet 2 days ago for soreness in the upper arm on advise from my doctor, the next day i woke up and my face was severley swollen,i rang my local chemist who advised me to get a antihistameine such as fenerghgen which i did since then the swelling has gone down but not completley, there is still some swelling in the eye area,is there anything else i should be doing at this point, yours sinserely.worried.
It seems you had developed an allergic reaction to the medicine Mobic . One thing is to stop the tablet immediately . You are rightly taking the antihistaminic . Other thing is to take low dose steroids but they can be prescribed only by your treating doctor after assessing the situation.
Hope you are satisfied with the answer. If you have any further queries feel free to ask. Wish you good health. Take care. Dr. Shruti
Hi, it appears that you had an allergic reaction to the drug, but the antihistaminic activity is not upto the mark, more over it needs steroid , antibiotic, and a change of the antihistamine like citrizine. So i advise you to consult a physician for diagnosis and treatment. Thank you.
