Swelling In Labia Majora, Feels Like Lump, Red, Painful When Pressed. Reason?
Hi, I'm sorry to be asking such a personal question, but I am experiencing localized swelling of the labia majora. It is only occurring at the top of the left labia. It feels a little like a small lump, but I can't tell if that's due to vascular swelling. There is redness, but it is only painful if pressed or manipulated. This has happened before, but does not seem to have any connection to my monthly hormonal changes. I would really like to know why this is happening and if it is something I should be concerned about.
Hi thanks for your question. No question is personal when it is related to your health. You are well come at health care magic to ask any personal question which is related to your health. Most probably this swelling is Bartholine cyst.Bartholine glands are normally present in vagina and produce secretions for vaginal lubrication. When duct of bartholine gland gets blocked due to infection or some other reasons secretion are retained in the gland which forms cyst. Consult a gynaecologist who may remove the cyst .There is nothing to worry. Hope this answers your question.
