I feel that your doctor's diagnosis is right. However, to assess the extent of disc herniation and the utility of surgical easing of the nerves' compression, an
MRI of the lower spine should be done at the earliest, before the nerves suffer permanent damage.
You may continue with the
chiropractic treatment, though it will not realign your vertebrae. But, at the same time, DO CONSULT A NEUROSURGEON AT THE EARLIEST, as further compression may even cause weakness of both lower
limbs.
Consult your doctor and apprise him of my opinion. I am certain that he will agree with me, order required tests, and- based on the reports- will prescribe suitable/modified treatment as advised.
