Swelling In The Groin, Advised Perineal Abcess. Will This Help ?

Hi i went to see a doctor today about a swelling that i have in my groin , ive had perianal abscess before and he said that this time they would be cutting out the gland there as it does not drain properly, can you tell me the name of it please because ive forgotten! I d also like to know if this will affect me in any way having it removed. Thank you

Thanks for your query.Based on the facts that you have posted it appears that you have developed abscess in the groin secondary to perineal abscess.

This needs to be incised and drained to have effective drainage and recovery,
