Swelling In The Leg From Knee To Foot While Due For Knee Replacement

I have a knee injury and will soon have a total knee replacement. My leg from my knee to my foot are now swelling and my lower back is sore from walking to compensate for my sore knee. Is this swelling from my knee or should I see my regular MD besides my Orthopedic doctor?

I have read your query.

Yes swelling in your leg and foot is due to knee problem for this you should definitely consult orthopedic surgeon, he may advise you medication for decreasing swelling.

You should also try to avoid squatting and upstairs as much as you can.

Try to elevate your limb as much as you can.
