Swollen And Lumpy Tonsils, Tonsil Stone

My tonsils are swollen and lumpy, once in awhile I get what I think is a tonsil stone , that I cough up, it s white and has a gross odor , but anyway my mom said she would take me to the doctor over the summer, to see if I have to get them removed, but I was just wondering if since theyre all lumpy and red should I be worried?

swollen tonsils with redness indicate active infection. take a course of antibiotics, warm saline gargles , betadine mouth wash till you get them removed by surgery
