Swollen Clitoral Hood, Pain, Sores. Taking Acyclovir. Done Biopsies. Help
I have had ongoing pain & problems for at least 18 yrs (I'm 41 now) have been & am seeing drs. But not getting anywhere really! Have swollen clitoral hood- more on left side- with Lots of pain, only clit pain, only narcotic meds & not walking & standing help!! I have an elect scooter & back probs from sitting w legs apart!! From 92-96 I was covered on the clit area w NON-INFECTIOUS ulcerated sores!! Was on Acyclovir for 2 of those yrs even tho 4 biopsies showed NO disease or cancer- only swollen tissue. Prednisone helps a little now, but not then!! It's VERY PAINFUL!! Also have neuropathic pain- Sk 2 kinds of pain!! Lyrica helps some, but not much! KY has to be kept on at all times- Buy Any other cream makes me Worse!! Lidocaine didn't help!! Benzocaine helped some- But I am Allergic to it and it possibly caused some worsening of the ulcerated sores!! I still get bumps & sores off & on- All NON-INFECTIOUS!!! I Don't Know What To Do!!! Thankfully I Have an understanding Man in my life!! (For 12 yrs!)! I used to be able to have sex by taking my pain med (morphine or methadone or fentanyl- Allergic to OxyContin) after sex & NSAIDs & resting! Am on a small amount of methadone now, but fentanyl helped a little more! I can't even lay down, have to sleep semi-sitting up! Thank You!!!

Hi,
It seems that you may be having herpes progenitalis.
H P is viral disease, caused by H S V virus type 2.
You should go for antibody test for H P..
H P is a chronic skin disease. There are recuurent episodes. There may be some factors which precipitate the disease.
Factors may be stress,tension,anxiety,sexual intercourse,poor immunity,poor hygiene,sleeplessness,fever,any other disease.... Etc
Acyclovir tablets in pulses, immunobusters like levamisole and pain killers will help.
Acyclovir cream should be applied.
If there is bacterial infection, antibiotics may be taken.
All these should be done under supervision of dermatologist.
