Swollen Gland Removed, Significant Hole When Had Surgery , Hole Filled With Hard Scar Tissue. Remedy?
I had a swollen gland removed from the roof of my mouth last year and the pathology was clean stating only a swollen gland. There was a significant hole when I had the surgery and now the hole has filled with hard scar tissue . It doesn t hurt but I have wondered if this is the natural tissue that would evolve after a surgery like this. The ENT seems unconcerned on follow but I m considering a second opinion.
Hi Thanks for your query I can feel your concern the scar will change its shape with time , nothing to be done for this at the moment . Have a proper clinical examination and if needed then consult for ENT doctor. Hope it helps Regards Dr imran
