My husband s right hand became suddenly swollen - there is a pain in his knuckle , like a bruise - but no obvious bruise there. It s been like this for 2 days. The back of his hand is warm and red.

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
He may have sustained trauma which may have caused a fracture. It may also be an arthritis where he will not be able to flex or extend the wrist without pain and swelling. He needs immediate Medical consultation.
