Swollen Lymph Nodes In The Neck. Feeling Weak And Dizzy. Could It Be A Cyst? Need Ultrasound?

Hi I have been experiencing a swollen lymph nodes in the right side of my neck, it's very tender and are about the size of grapes. I have been feeling weak and dizzy. it's been about 5 days now and seems to be getting worse. saw a doctor last night and started Pen V this morning. he is sending me for an ultrasound this week and said it could be a cyst but is unsure. I have no fever but should he of sent me for blood work too to confirm an infection and can an ultrasound really give him a good look and if it is a cyst does it have to come out?

Hi welcome to Hwalth care magic forum.
Thanks for calling HCMForum.
You got swollen lymph nodes on the right side of the neck. It is tender and size of a grape. feeling week and dizzy, since 5 days and getting worse,Doctor prescribed pen-Vand ordered for US scaning.
It appears to be a lymph gland, secondary to the head lice, any bacterial infection of the scalp, or mouth.
Tuberculosis gland or cyst possibilities are there but they will be long standing and slow grorwing, with less or no tender ness.
I advise you to consult a surgeon for diagnosis and treatment.
You may need to have incision and drainage for cure.
Wishing for a quick and complete recovery.
Best regards.
