48 year old male. left side of face feels swollen and numb from direct center of jaw to ear to middle of forehead . Left side teeth are also sensitive. Bite tongue often, drool in sleep, eye left eye feels tight all the time, constant issue with left nostril in morning. Face does get dry, have always had full head of hair with no issue. Hair tends to have dandruff type issue noticable on shirt with flakes later in day. Conditon is 1 year old. No horrific pain just discomfort, MRI was negative 6 months ago. Is is permanant nerve damage? What can I do?
Your doubts are not right because your physiciann prescribed an MRI and he did not find any abnormalities. Doctors are the best judges of your prresent condition. Let them do their job and you do your job, means just don't worry. Anxiety about physical illnesses and doubts about own health might result in hypochondriasis, which might be your present problem. Drooling and running nose can be treated with sleeping position change and checking snoring. dandruff is due to dry skin and not nerve damage. These symptoms except numbness are treatable individually. Numbness might be just a feeling due to anxiety. Consult a psychologist for further counseling and advice. Get well soon.
Hi, From your history it seems that you might be having Bell's Palsy. Consult Neurophysician and get examined. After proper diagnosis he will go for treatment accordingly. Ok and take care.
