Swollen, Painful Leg From Hurting My Leg. Applied Antibiotic But No Relief. Should I Be Concerned?

Fell on ceramic tile stairs and hit my ship on the edge and it kind of scraped/and cut about 4" long it looked as though the bone was showing in one spot, I have covered it and kept antibiotic on it but it has ben over a week and it is so sore all around the area half way back on my leg on both sides, and it is swollen all around the leg, and if I cross my legs and it causes pressure on the back of the leg the wound on the frt. hurts, this thing is really getting to me is it okay and I just need to wait longer or is something wrong?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello dear,

The symptoms can be attributed to nerve or blood vessels in the leg.
The swelling & pain is characteristic.
Moreover, it has got secondarily infected.
Since it has already been over a week, kindly consult an Orthopedician for proper clinical examination.

Take care.
