Swollen Right Hand, Red, White Spots On Edge. Normal Blood Test And X Ray. What Could Be This?

For the past week the right hand has been swollen nearest the ring and pinky fingers. Primary care doc said resembles boxers knuckle bc of where it is. But i am not physical in that way. dont know about bug bite but see no puncture marks. blood work fine. checked uric acud is at 5. Red and swollen. Redness dissipating a bit but swelling not. Taking 2 aleve 2 times day. A few white spots are present on the edge. I'm at a loss and so it seems are they. X-ray showed no issues.

Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
Since the X-ray is normal, the redness and white spots are likely to be related to an inflammation of the knuckle. You need to give it proper rest and do a hot fomentation for relief.
