Swollen Vagina, Not Getting Wet, Painful During Sex, Bump Close To Vaginal Opening. Taking Medication. Suggestions?

During sex i cant seem to get wet and it is very painful, also my vaginal walls are swelled, and i have seen two doctors about it and all they say is that it is a yest infection? which when they give me pills for it, it helps but only for a couple of days, then its back, there is itchiness and a burning sensation sometimes, i also took some UTI pills and they seem to help, but my Vagina is still swollen, and there seems to be a large bump close to the opening that hurts when my husband hits it? and how can i tell if hes hitting my cervix?

Hi thanks for your question.
The most common cause of painful intercourse is yeast infection of vagina and cervicitis that is infection of cervix. You are getting some relief with anti fungal and antibiotics, and developing same problems again means your infection is not completely treated and it is getting resistant to anti fungal and antibiotics. Consult a gynecologist who may examine you to determine exact cause of dryness of your vagina and painful intercourse .He/she may take swab from your vagina and cervix for culture sensitivity. Swollen vagina could be due to infection. The bump which your mentioning most probably could be is Bartholine cyst.Bartholine glands are normally present in vagina and produce secretions for vaginal lubrication.when duct of bartholine gland gets blocked due to infection or some other reasons secretion are retained in the gland which forms cyst. This could also be responsible for painful intercourse.Gynaecologist may also remove this cyst.
Hope this answers your question
