TB In Stomach. Slight Giddiness, Passed Red Urine After Taking AKT Tablet. Side Effect?

Hi,
My wife affected TB on Stomach. Few days before she took (Night) AKT 4 tablet (Doctor Recommended – 4 tablets in one Strip). After she took she has slight giddiness. After 4 hours she passed Toilet, the Toilet was red colour.
I am scared after she stopped that tablet. But doctor told when take this tablet, you will be faced side effects like Urine is Yellow colour and slight feeling giddiness.
Please advise normally when she passed toilet she never see Red colour. After she took that tablet red colour came.

Hello,
Thanks for the query to H.C.M. Forum.
A K T 4 is most commonly used drug ( combo pack ) in tuberculosis.
One of its ingredient is RIFAMPICIN 450 mg ( beside others ) . the red coloration of urine and stool is due to color of rifampicin , so need not to worry at all .
Usually the morning sample of urine and stool comes with red coloration.
The isonex component of A K T 4 is responsible for dizziness and nausea ,so need not to worry.
This medicine take some times for adjustment .
Other way is take pantoprazole + domperidone with A K T 4 after your treating physician .
