Taken Plan B After Unprotected Sex. Delayed Period, Hard Stomach, Gas. Due To Medicine?
Hey I am 15 years old and had unprotected sex. I know I shouldn't of had sex but it was a mistake. We had sex without a condom because he want hard enough to get it on. He was also very dry and didn't have precum. He pulled out ( I know still not as effective) but I took plan b 1 hour after. I had my period in the next few days as it said on the box. That is around my regular period. This month, It's been 2 weeks pass my next period, is this because of plan b? Also my stomach is hard, and I have gas, is this comstipation? Caused by plan b?
Emergency contraception such as plan b that you used are normally very effective if taken within 48 to 72 hours after intercourse. Since you used it within an hour, it should be effective.
Delay of a woman's period can occur due to various reasons , in your case it may be related to the emergency contraception.
It would be best to start on birth control (if the pregnancy test is negative) if you plan to continue sexual activity. Condoms would also protect against sexually transmitted infections.
I hope this helps
