Taken Prednisone, Claritin, Benedryl For Poison Oak. Constipation, Dizziness, Cramps. What Can I Take?
Hi, this is what happened to me, I got a severe case of poison oak or sumac and was put on prednisone I took 4 for 3 days and 5pills for 4 days. Also took claritin, and benedryl at night. Then I found out I was pregnant! So i stopped it all, the only thing he said I could use for the posion oak or sumac was benedryl, oatmeal bath and calamine. Now that I got off the steroid I had bad constipation,I almost went to the emergency room the one night I was sweating bad, and bad constipation cramps, felt dizzy. Hard stool came out. I drank some prune juice today and ate a couple prunes, And I had very bad cramping followed by watery stool twice today. Im praying its all out. The posion oak or sumac is still unbearable ,cant sleep feels like prickery heat now, was wondering what I can take if I cramp up that bad again? And also what to do to ease this poison oak sumac away?!

The cause of concern is pregnancy and drug of choice is prednisolone in OAK poison.
Now for constipation you can use very high fiber diet and plenty of salad.
In my opinion you should drink maximum amount of liquid as you can do.
Use minimum amount of medicines for the sake of fetus .
One more thing please get in ultrasound of fetus and its position in uterus.
