Taken Pantop 2 Weeks, Now Pantodac 40/60mg 6 Weeks. What Is The Treatment Of Duodenal Ulcer?

i have duodenal ulcer when i do endoscopy. doctor give 14 days medicine pantop hp kit. after i feel relax then doctor give me pantadoc 40mg for 6 weaks after this take 6 weaks pantadoc 20 mg for 6 weaks. iwant ask is it enough for ulcer healing please suggest me iam very sad for this disaese

I can understand your concern for your health especially since ulcer is a long standing disease. I will try my best to answer your question and guide you through this.

You have been diagnosed as having a duodenal ulcer on a upper GI scopy. HP kit is usually given for eradication of helicobacter pylori which causes recurrent duodenal ulcers and gastritis. The usual duration of HP kit is 1 to 2 weeks depending on the combination of drugs used. The standard duration of treatment with pantoprazole for duodenal ulcer is 4 to 8 weeks.

Since you have completed the HP kit and 6 weeks of pantoprazole, your course of treatment for duodenal ulcer is over. However you can have repeat check upper GI scopy to look for resolution of the ulcer. Also your symptoms would have gone by now.
