Taken Prednisone For Sinus. Tremors Hands Shortly. Suggested MS, Had MRI. Is This Because Of Prednisone?

A friend was on Prednisone 50 mg for 7 days for sinus condition, she developed tremors in her hands shortly after that. She is seeing a neurologist who is saying she has MS. Couldn t this be more from the prednisone? She is 58, had an MRI, she didn t know anything about white matter. I told her to get a second opinion

Hi,

Thanks for consulting HealthcareMagic!

Multiple sclerosis is a chronic neurological(nervous system) disorder usually affecting young adults and is characterized by various symptoms ranging from mild symptoms like numbness, weakness to vision loss, paralysis and mood disturbances.
This condition is because of some kind of plaques or scar formation in a type of tissue in brain. It is diagnosed based on physical findings and MRI findings
We can get more idea, if we MRI finding.
On the other hand, prednisone rarely causes tremors in hands. However, only this feature does not hint towards MS.
