Taking Dexilant For Diarrhoea, Irregular Bowel Movements And Addinson's Disease. What Is The Treatment?
I am a 60 year old female...I saw my doctor Tuesday following the ER on Sat. I had diarrhea, and needed to be seen since I have Addinson s Disease. I no longer have the diarrhea but I have the pain under my breast bone and feel hungry all the time...the throat issue and pain in back, etc. I do take Dexilant 60MG 1 X daily for acid reflux...but this is new...I did, at one time, have GERDS but was told it went away...it is so uncomfortable...I cannot eat anything...living on tea and toast...my doctor told me it was a tummy virus...could it still be...it started Nov 27th...I do have irregular bowel movements as well...thank you for your input...Tilly I am so sorry to waste your time, I do not have the means to make a payment. Thank you so much for your time...
Thanks for your query, it is our pleasure to serve you at HCM. If you use chronic steroids for your Addison's disease, it would make you more susceptible to peptic ulcer disease and gastritis; if you continue to have abdominal discomfort despite being on Dexilant, then an upper endoscopy may be required to address these possibilities.
Hope that helps, wish you the best,
