Taking Fluvoxamine, Prednisone For Anxiety, Inflammation. Can They Be Taken Together. Any Side Effects?

Currently taking 50 mg Fluvoxamine daily for anxiety have been prescribed 50mg x10 for 5 days of Prednisone after a recent MS diagnosis to relieve inflammation. Do these two drugs at this dosage work properly together? What side effects can I expect from the prednisone? Have previously taken much smaller does for Crohns for 3 weeks.

Hi there, thanks for asking. There is no special issue regarding taking these two medications together. Prednisolone is a good medication for controlling MS and Crohn's disease and in short period of time there no specific issue with taking it. I wish your situation is controlled soon.
