Taking Lasix, Glimisave, Arkamin For Diabetes And Kidney Problems. Can Looz Be Given For Constipation?

hi doc, pls guide. my 75 yrs old grandma is undergoing diabetes & kidney treatment..may b some parallel probs too.. d meds being taken are- lasix, glimisave, arkamin, nicardia, alpha d3, r-cinex, combutol, p-zide. i need to know whether i can give her looz (from intas) as she isn't having motions since 5-6 days. also to mention that she's not having proper diet & having single chapati with vegetable/cereal or 'suji' porridge..3-4 times a day.

Thanks for the query

You can definitely ask her to take syp looz at night time. It will not cause any drug interaction, we usually start at 15 ml a day. Once her constipation is better she can either stop or reduce the dosage according to her comfort level. Constipation in kidney disease patients are usually due to dietary restriction and syp looz helps
