Taking Omeprazole For Gastritis. Have Stomach Discomfort. Can Antacid Be Taken?

Hello,
Thanks for helping me out with this question first off. Currently I am taking 20.6 mg omeprazole magnesium pills once a day in the mornings for gastritis. I was wondering--it seems like the dose either wears off by the end of the day, or maybe in spite of the medication, I am still having discomfort due to the acid irritating my stomach--can I take an antacid with 200mg aluminum hydroxide, 200 mg magnesium hydroxide, and 20 mg smethicone (antigas)? Or would thet be too much magnesium, considering, I still have maybe 8 more days of the omeprazole left to take?

Hi,
There is no necessary taking other antacids you listed.
Take tablet Omiprazole 12 hourly i.e. two times a day.
The feeling you have at the end of the day, with twice a day dose will be alright.
