Taking Viibryd. On Several Other Medications. Does Viibryd Cause Weight Gain?
my name is cindy, I just recently started taking Viibryd. I am on second week of twenty miligrams and supposed to go up to forty, I am concerned because I have been also depressed about weight lately and don't want anymore meds that cause weight gain. I am on seventeen different meds and half cause weight gain,trying to work with doc. to maybe get off some and be re-evaluated but he says no.He also said that new med viibryd does not cause weight gain I need truth, does it or not and what about nightmares I was told that could happen also?

Thank you for your question. Viibryd is not known to cause weight gain. However, it can cause sleep disturbances but these are not necessarily nightmares, it may be difficulty getting off to sleep.
