Taking Birth Control For Ovarian Cyst. No Periods. Not Pregnant

Hi I had my last periods on 1st of Aug 2013, i had a cyst in one of my overy so doctuor put me on birth control in Aug, i took a tablet for 20 days. I did not get my periods in the end of aug... i want to see my Doc and she asked to take Modus 10mg, i took it for 6 days, Today is 9th day after i stopped modus , i still have not got periods. i had an HSG test to check my tubes last month so i am sure i am not pregnent

Hello ma'am and welcome.

It appears as though you have been diagnosed with polycystic ovarian syndrome and this results in menstrual irregularities. The treatment of which is the use of contraceptive pills, metformin and other hormonal supplements. Either of these can be tried to accurately treat the condition.

If you have not achieved a good response with the already tried medications then you can speak to your doctor to venture into other options.
