Taking Lamotrigine For Seizures. Memory Loss, Speech Problem And Mood Swings. Side Effects? What To Do?

I am having side effects from Lamotrigine -300 mg. I am a procurement mgr. and seem to have issues with memory, speech effects, mood and more....I have been taking this for seizures. Only been on it a little over a year. I am in fear of losing my job over these. Is there anything you can tell me of what to do now? I do not know which-where- or what to do now.

Lamotrigine can be associated with different potential side effects that may or may not occur.

Some of the most common are skin rashes, dizziness, loss of balance, drowsiness,,depression,headache , double vision, nausea.
There are other potential effects .

It is possible that the symptoms you are experiencing may be related to the medication but your doctor may rule out other causes.

You may want to consider speaking to your doctor regarding your symptoms.

If, as a result of the evaluation, the symptoms are attributed to your medication then it is possible that it may be changed depending on the intensity of the symptoms.
