Taking Prednisone For 5 Years. How Long Should I Continue?

Hello I am wondering how long should it take for prednisolone 15mg/5ml to start working on viral exanthems in a two year old she has been taking it for 2 1/2 days now and it looks like it is moving down her arm it looks a little better but not much she is only taking the medicine for 5 days shouldnt it be improving by now

Prednisolone does not treat viral exantheme. The rash would follow its natural course from eruption through desquamation. all treatments given during viral exantheme are supportive to manage symptoms and prevent any super infection and not to stop the infection fro progressing. Prednisolone may have its place if the client has itches but there are better drugs for this and I simply don't understand why this prednisolone was prescribed.

Don't get bothered. So long as she is fine and the only abnormality is the rash, be sure should get over it when the infection finishes its course. No need to count on prednisolone for this unless being used otherwise.
