Teenager. Exercising With 25kg Shoulder Press And 40 On Chest Press. Side Effects?
Hi im 15 years old and have been going gym for about 4 months. I do 25kg on a shoulder press and 40 on a chest press. Will this stop my development? I.e height, shpulders broadening, arms and hands getting physically bigger. That sort of stuff, also when will these changes occur? I'm 5'10 now so what age will i notice a difference from this teenage body to an adult body?
thank you for reaching out for an advice . well good for you that you picked the weights in such an early age, you should not have any concerns regarding the weights you lift as long as you watch a good form of exercise , 25 kg on the shoulder press is pretty heavy try to use less weight but better form and always stay in control of the movement. for the transformation dont rush, it will happen with time , stay in shape and never sacrifice symmetry for mass . stay away from steroids and stay natural , eat healthy avoid fast food, and read !! always read about nutrition and working out. so lifting weights in a good form wont stop your growth or affect your height. infact working out might maximize it. just remember you are now in age were you are going into a very rapid growth phase always eat well and sleep well . go to your GP to get a whole body check up as a base line for the future and to make sure your body will cope with exercise without any problem.
