Teenager. Uneven Skin Tone. Very Dark Elbows, Knees, Knuckles. Dark Patches On Back, Neck And Face. Advice

Hi, im a girl of 18.. Some areas of my body have lighter skin and some have really dark skin my elbows and knees are really dark and so are my knuckles and i cant wear shorts or anything i feel insecure my back, neck and near my armpits are also dark even my face has patches of dark and light what can i do to get rid of this please its been like this for years?

You seem to be having acanthosis nigricans. Please consult a dermatologist for complete evaluation. The causes of this are many. Obesity, early diabetes and insulin resistance, hypothyroidism, Polycystic ovary syndrome etc. are some of the causes.
Weight reduction and exercise is the best treatment.
