Throbbing, Intense Pain In Ear, Upper Lower Jaw. X-ray Showed Possible Ear Or Sinus Infection. No Help From Antibiotics, Vicodin. Possible Cancer?
Hi - I have had a ear, upper, lower jaw pain for about a month now... kind of a "throbbing, burning, intense" pain. I went to the dentist 3 weeks ago, he took xrays and felt I may have an ear or sinus infection. he prescribed me an antibiotic and Vicodin. I took the medicine for 10 days - no relief. Went to another dentist 2 weeks later - he took xrays. Couldnt get a real clear view of my #14 and 15 teeth roots as the sinus is in the way. this dentist still feels I may have some sort of infection. He prescribed me another brand of antibiotic and Vicodin. I've been on the medicine for 3 days now. and I have an appt to see another dentist tomorrow for a possible root canal. may question is... could I have cancer? I mean, my whole left side of my face hurts - mostly when/if I lay down. Like a major throbbing burn - shooting pain on both my upper and lower cheek/jaw. I dont know WHAT Tooth hurts - they all do. HELP... :( Lynette
no cancer as you have sinusitis as these are allergies there is mucus secretion in sinus and as it goes back it put pressure on jaws teeth and ears n antibiotic cover it it needs antiallergic use anti allergic to decrease sinus production thus decreasing flow to back thus releasing pressure on jaw and teeth add antaci gel apply neomycin h ointment in nose bd sea water 2 drop at night each nose to clear preesure through nasopharynx analgesic sos for pain o till the sinus treatment initiates
