Thumb Injury, Cut Thumb. Washed Cut, Applied Skin Glue, Bandaged Wound. Treatment Options?

Sliced my thumb on a electric hedger, 30 hr ago, didn t go have stitches, maybe should have but I have no insurance, Thanks! Anyway, I washed it and applied some of that new skin glue stuff, put bandage and wrapped with tape. I have changed the wrap 3 times, what else should I do? Should I allow it to get air? Or keep it wrapped?

Hi,
You have done the right thing: cover the cut area after applying an antibacterial ointment over it. Do not allow it to dry off by exposing it to air because "moist" wound heals much faster than a "dry" wound. Keep it wrapped, it would heal by itself in a few days' time. However, if it required some stitches, it means that the wound it pretty large and would take a bit more time to heal itself and the scar would also generally be large.
