Thyroid TSH Count?
Hello Doc, My Thyroid profile suggests as below: T3-4.4/T4-1.02/TSH 3rd Generation-10.59, in addition to this T. cholesterol-174.8/HDL-47.34, Triglycerides-99.85/VLDL-20/LDL-107.5. Plus my Urea is slightly less than reference rate suggested, 12.7 I am not sure what does this report suggests, plus I have heard that once you start taking thyroid medicines it lasts life long. Your TSH level is high thats indicating you have hypothyroidism. Start the treatment . yes the the medicines have to take for longer period.

Your TSH is high indicating that you have hypothyroidism.
1. Please start hormone therapy as prescribed, it needs to be taken once a day on empty stomach in the mprning. It needs to be taken atleast for six months.
2. Please ensure that you are on Iodized salt.
3. Avoid cabbage completely.

hi,thanks for query.You seems to have thyroid hormone deficiency your body and that means hypothyroidism.You thyroid gland is not producing sufficient amount of hormones which is important for maintaining many systems in your body.The thing which is deficient in your body has to replace with medicines so you have to take it for life long.Do not shy away from drugs take it regularly and keep checking the hormones level on regular basis also.
