Tightness Across Back Of Leg, Painful. What Could Be This?

I'm experiencing a tightness across the back of my leg, really the back of my knee. Feels like something is preventing me from straightening it. I've had this happen before and usually walking around loosens it up and it's fine. This time, it's been 3 days and no relief. I was doing box step-ups at boot camp the other day that seemed to aggrevate it. What could this be, and what should I be doing to treat and then prevent?

Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
The tight feeling across the back of the leg is likely to be due to a muscle sprain or a muscle pull. Adequate rest, mild pain killers and oral muscle relaxants will help in decreasing the symptoms.
