Tingling Sensation In Toe, Pain In Knees. What Could Be This?
I just spent a weekend away for a work conference which included dinners, drinks, and awards ceremonies. I only bring this up because there may have been some indulgences. Now I have been experiencing a tingling sensation in my little toe and pain in knees, mainly right knee, behind the kneecap. The knee pain has occurred in the past, but the toe is worrisome.
Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement, Dr. Saurabh Gupta's Response
Hello, Thanks for writing to us
The pains that you have described are likely to be due to a muscular pain most likely caused by a wrong body posture. Tingling sensation in toe could be due to pressure over nerve fibres due to muscle spasm or due to deficiency of vit B12. Do stretching exercises, hot fomentation and apply muscle relaxant gel to relieve the spasm. Taking methylcobalamin supplements will be helpful.
I do hope that you have found something helpful and I will be glad to answer any further query.
