Tongue Has Furry, Yellow Skin On The Back And Middle With Dots. What Is It?
Tongue has furry yellow skin on the back and middle and has small red dots, not raised, on the tip. When I woke up, patches of skin came painlessly off it. Just got had a perfect check-up at the dentist two weeks ago, have eaten nothing unusual, do not smoke and have no other symptoms other than potentially head ache and sore muscles, neither of which are not ordinary and or unexplained. It has been this way for about 16 hours.
Welcome to HCM. Tongue coating with red dots usually seen after decrease in salivation. It usually occurs after consuming any hot food or hot drink, fever, fungal infection and even after b12,folic acid deficiency. Sometime it recovers without any treatment but if it persist then it requires proper treatment. B12,folic acid and other vitamins are advisable. Antifungal mouth gel is required sometime in recurrent cases. Keep in touch with your doctor. Take proper local care.
