Took 100mg Of Thyroxin For Hyperthydrodism, Suffer Depression, Muscle Pain, Fatigue. Side Effect ?
Hello. Wonder if you can help. I did have hyperthydrodism up untill 2009, was not working right so after many years my consultant suggested I had tablet to kill off the remaining thyroid. I was put then onto 75mgrms. of thyroxine, which worked for some months, then had to up it to 100. Here we are some time later and is still reading 22 p/c. Am having bad side effects, like depression, musle pain and gengeral fatigue. Will this go on continuously?
What does your present latest thyroid profile say? Hypothyroidism can be one of the multiple causes of those problems like depression, muscle pain etc. So if the values are not within normal range then you should consult your doctor. Try and make life style changes like stress reduction, yoga, breathing exercises etc. If those things do not work please consult your psychiatrist for antidepressant after evaluation.
