Took ECP, After Contraception. Bright Red Bleeding. Brown Discharge. Implantation Bleeding?
Hi,
I took the ECP the morning after contraception failed us. 8 days later (when my period would normally have been due) I had very light, bright red bleeding and then a brown discharge for a day. It has now stopped. Definitely too light to be a normal period. I am concerned that is it implantation bleeding but hoping it is just a side effect from the ECP. Your thoughts would be appreciated.

The light bleeding you experienced was MOST probably a side effect from the ECP.
ECP is known to induce withdrawal bleeding in more than 90 % of women within a week, so that is what happened most probably.
Sadly, the days coincide with the possibility of an implantation bleed , also, a less likely possibility.
The ECP would also prepone or postpone your expected period by a week or more.
If and when, you skip your period, take a pregnancy test to be sure.
