Took IMODIUM, Severe Constipation, Period Lighter, Got Twice In Month. What Could Be Wrong?

I usually have heavy but regular periods with 25/26 day cycles. On the 7th of this month i had one which started after extreme pain and cramps. At the time I believed it had something to do with my taking Imodium before the period. After taking the IMODIUM, i had severe constipation and on medical advice, had to take DULCOLAX to stimulate my bowels. The period was however lighter than usual.

On the 25th of this month, another period started with very scanty flow and it has just ended. Really don't know what's going on. I'm 43 years old this year.

Hi,
It seems that at this age you might have pre-menopausal symptoms due to some hormonal changes occuring giving rise to early or late period and might have scany or heavy period.
I do not think imodium or dulcolax has any effect on your period.
Consult Gynaec and get examined.
ok and take care.
