Took Cranberry Juice And Antibiotics For UTI. Had Nose Bleed After Having Spinach. Is It Due To Any Reaction?
A friend is 87 and has a UTI, and is on an antibiotic. Her daughter has her on 8 oz of cranberry juice as well. Monday night she had spinach for dinner, and the next morning developed a nose bleed, which she is subject to anyway. My thought was that, like with Coumadin users who avoid these foods because of their blood thinning effects, that perhaps the combination of the spinach and cranberry juice was too much for someone who develops nose bleeds rather easily. What are your thoughts?,
HI Thank for asking to HCM I really appreciate your concern, but this may not be a possibility looking to age of patient other reason could be there, If I would be her Doctor then I would first go for blood pressure reading, this is just a near possibility and other is bleeding tendency, but more important is bleeding from the nose is pretty common condition and most of the time does not have any apparent reason and this come around with general care for bleeding so no need to worry about it and it will be fine hope this will clear your doubt have nice day.
