hi sir i have dandruff problem and scalp on my head it have rounded like patch i have visited to an dermatologist and he injected and asked me to apply protar k shampoo, that time it was cantrolled again iam effected from that what should i do know.

Hi,

I can understand your concern for dandruff and round patch on scalp.

Mometasone in lotion form can be used to reduce flaking on her scalp. If used for shorter period of time (less than 7-14 days) then do not cause any side effect and is very safe drug to be used.

But if used for longer time then it can lead to steroidal side effects. You should meet your treating dermatologist and take decision accordingly.

In my view simple proper washing is sufficient to take care of the flaking and dandruff problem in scalp. I suggest her to wash scalp daily by proper rinsing and using a shampoo containing ketoconazole 2 % lotion in it.
